Canh runs as a remote MCP server — add it to ChatGPT as a custom app and you can manage your tasks straight from a conversation. For now, connect it manually: turn on Developer mode once, paste in Canh's connection details, then authorize access.
- A ChatGPT account, used on the web.
- Developer mode turned on — it's required to add a custom MCP app (steps below). If the setting is unavailable, ask your workspace admin to allow it.
- Set up the app on the web (chatgpt.com). Once connected, it is also available in the ChatGPT mobile apps.

You only do this once. It unlocks the option to add custom MCP apps. Skip ahead if it's already on.

Open Settings
In ChatGPT on the web, open your account menu and choose Settings.

Open Security and login
Toggle Developer mode on
The option to add a custom app is now unlocked.

With Developer mode on, point ChatGPT at Canh's MCP server and authorize it.

Open Plugins
Go to Settings → Plugins, or open chatgpt.com/plugins directly.

Select the plus button
This opens the form for a new developer-mode app.

Fill in the app form
In the dialog, complete each field in order:

Paste Canh's URL into the MCP server URL field:

Create the app
Click Create. ChatGPT checks the server and shows the tools Canh provides.

Sign in & authorize
When prompted during setup or first use, sign in with Canh and approve access. ChatGPT redirects you back once it's connected.
Add Canh to a new chat
Open a new chat, click the + beside the message box, choose More, then select canh. Ask it to add your first task in plain words — "remind me to call the dentist tomorrow." Whether ChatGPT asks for confirmation depends on your app permission level and the action.
ChatGPT uses your permission setting and Canh's tool annotations to decide when to ask before reading or changing data. Review any confirmation before approving it.
